The DMO team consists of seagoing oceanographers, engineers, and technicians. Our goal is to provide customer service that exceeds your expectations and heads off drama before it starts. It’s our hope that early guidance enables you to collect exceptional data and continued use of your Wirewalker for years to come; however, we recognize that accidents happen, upgrades may be required or desired, and circumstances change. ON-SITE TRAINING

THINK YOU NEED TRAINING?

If you already have experience deploying instruments at your site of interest, converting to Wirewalker profiling will be straightforward. The User Guides, and maybe a call or email with support, is likely sufficient to get you up and running in no time. However, should you require additional support, our on-site 3-day training may be helpful.

THE DMO 3-DAY COURSE

Our on-site training course is typically completed in 3 days. It’s designed to build confidence in the lab, out at sea, and during data analysis. The following is a brief summary of what will be covered…

  • Day 1: Land based experience. Deployment prep, instrument programming, platform customization, and ballasting.

  • Day 2: At sea experience. Collect field data and learn deployment and recovery processes.

  • Day 3: Data processing. Understand nuances of working with immense amounts of vertically profiled data. Visualize data in depth and isopycnal reference frames.

 

* In-person training is currently unavailable. However, we’re happy to assist virtually.

REPAIRS

In the unlikely event that you require services where you believe your equipment needs to be returned to DMO, please contact us for a return merchandise authorization (RMA) and provide details prior to shipping.
